Frame Removal
After the new quarters were installed, the next step was
to remove the stock frame. I chose to remove the frame rather than modify
it, or back-half the car. A new frame would be much better suited to the
application. I also have saved a great deal of the parts from the car, so
that they may live on in other corvettes.
The frame was removed and sold as a rolling chassis. It
was very clean for it's age. There was only some surface rust since it
spent most of it's life stored in Arizona. The only thing wrong with the
frame was the transmission cross member. It was cut out between the
exhaust holes to make it removable. The body was put back on the jack
stands.
