New Frame

The new frame is a Jegster frame kit and cage made by Jeg's high performance. I assembled it on the garage floor next to the corvette. I obtained a Fab9 rear housing and Strange axles from Chris Alston Chassisworks. A local circle track shop 'Ultimate racing' provided the third member for the rear end, which is a nodular iron unit with a 3.50 locking differential. (I'll swap the gears after I see how the car runs).

Suspension pieces are Competition Engineering four-link in the rear. Front suspension components include 1971 Pinto spindles on custom tubular control arms. Shocks are aluminum HAL coil-overs at all four corners, with adjustable ones up front. Steering is handled by a Wilwood pinto rack and pinion unit. The wheels for the car are Weld Pro Stars(15x15 rear 15x3.5 front) with Mickey Thompson tires(31x18.5 rear 24x6 front) at all four corners. The rear tire were purchased from a swap meet, and the wheels from an ad in the sunday paper. The front wheels, tires, and the tubes for the rear tires were purchased from Summit Racing Equipment

With the new frame built and ready to go in, I took out a cut-off tool and cut the floor out of the car. Fiberglass dust everywhere, and plenty of room to work.
