Virtual Reality

Having a the computers in our home networked together allows us to play 3D games together.

To really put myself into the game, I have a set of VIO I-Glasses. I purchased the I-Glasses in 1996 and have really enjoyed them. Through the magic of prices falling over time I was recently able to acquired some other VR headsets (CyberMaxx, Stuntmaster, VFX1) through ebay auctions.

I have built a 'new/old' system for the VFX1 headset. It is currently setup to play Flight Unlimited. With CH throttle control, wingman joystick, and CH pedals. It's the cheapest open-cockpit plan that I've found.( and if I crash the plane, I just restart the game) I also picked up an Aura vest for that extra measure of reality.

I found a Nintendo power glove on Ebay, but have not had time to work with it yet. If you have a stuntmaster headset(or plan to get one on ebay(~$30.00) I have info on making a convertor for the stuntmaster to use regular video-in (Click Here).

I enjoy playing fast-action games such as Quake III, Unreal Tournament, and the Need For Speed series of games.
